nmgcs commemoratives
Click on any image to view additional information Every year since the very first formal convention, that was held in 1988, the National Milk Glass Collectors Society has commissioned a different animal covered dish as the commemorative. These are produced in a limited number and are sold only to members. All, except for the 1998 full figure rabbit, have a split rib base to commemorate the McKee Bros. Glass Company of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The full figured rabbit will be issued every other year, but never in the same color twice. Each of the commemoratives is impressed with the society's logo, a crouching
rabbit on a block bearing the initials NMGCS and the year and location of the convention.
