CommentsI discovered this site from the A&E collector show hosted by John Laroquette. Milk glass has kept me interested ever since. I have started a small collection of plates and vases. I remember that my mother had a platter, sugar and creamer and a covered dish in milk glass. Unfortunately, they are nowhere to be found now. I am combing yard sales, estate sales and flea markets to find this stuff. The website displays the pictures well and provides visitors with information on how to research. This is fun! Cheryl Tidd

CommentsI just found with web site and just starting collecting 2 years ago.
CommentsI have not thoroughly looked through this site yet, so I don't feel qualified to make any suggestions or comments about it. I am just looking for a good site that has tha ability to assist in identifying and estimating the value on any given piece of milk glass. For instance, I have some bowls and dishes that I would like to find out more about, but I don't really need or want to go out and buy an expensive book that I will only use one time. Thanks, Mary V.
CommentsDuring the early 1940s my father in law was going through france with his regiment when they stopped at a village(did not know the name)which had been totally bombed no people were there at all he saw something shining and with great care he checked to see what it was it was a glass candlestick of the madonna holding her heart her crown is the canle holder she is stnding on a glass plinth with 4 cherub situated one in each corner, he carried this with him through out the war saying if this could survive the bombings without a scratch then it would protect him .my father in law recently died and the candlestick was left to me the only markings to be found on the glass are under the base in raised lettering "PORTIEUX" is there anyone who could help me with any info about this THANKYOU

CommentsGood morning. I found your site this morning via Google's search engine. I have recently come into possession of over 100 various pieces of milk glass as my parents are clearing out a lot of things that they can no longer care for. How do I go about cataloging these items and then finding out their value? Thanks for your time. I enjoyed your site; however, for a novice such as myself, it was difficult to match descriptions to actual objects. I did see the pages with the photos. But, again, as a novice suddenly obtaining a rather large collection, I am unsure as to how to proceed. Any help you have would be appreciated. Thanks again. Bill
CommentsI have recently begun collecting milk glass due to my grandmother's collection being passed on to me little by little each year. I thought this website was fantastic!
CommentsNice website. I'm thinking about joining. We have a few pieces in our collection that are unidentified so far. Can't locate in any catalog reprints or books we have. Boy, are resources limited when it comes to identifying milkglass.
CommentsSomeone I know has a pink milk glass punch bowl and cups. Who made pink milk glass? When? What other kinds of pieces did they make? Where can you find/buy it now?
CommentsI have a blue opaque vase with gargoiles on the neck, it is marked "Portieux" France. Can anyone provide me any info on it, it was a gift from a friend, but he didn't have any info either, he found it at a flea mkt in his travels and thought I would like it. Thanks, Karen
CommentsWILL JOIN SOON LOVE WESTMORELAND'S GRAPE PATTERN
CommentsI have always admired milk glass and would like to begin a collection some day. Your website is very informative. Thanks !
CommentsYour site is 'breathtaking'. Now I can only hope to see some of these items in my lifetime. Great Job!! Enjoyed my visit to your site very much. Keep up the good work!!
CommentsI'm 28, I just started collecting milk glass from thrift stores. I saw a few pieces that reminded me of items relatives had when I was a kid, and those were the first items I've purchased. Now I've started inheriting family 'heirlooms'...I'm curious about the worth of some of my pieces; are they just thrift store treasures, or are they collectors items?
CommentsI have a question rather than a comment. I am looking for a qualified appraiser to appraise my Imperial milk glass collection. I grew up in Bellaire Ohio and have quite a few pieces that I acquired or that my mother left me. Do you make referrals? I now live in Arlington Texas and noticed your reference to the Garrisons (I believe) who are going to participate in the convention. I thought perhaps they or others might appraise. Thanks Much Jo Ellen Teasdale
CommentsLove MIlk Glass. Have started collecting in the last 6-7 months. I am always excited about buying my pieces and checking this web sight to see if what I have is worth the money I spent. Thank you.
CommentsNice Site! I have several pieces that were left by my mother in law.
CommentsI was surprised at all the rare milk glass. My mother passed away this past year and she had alot of milk glass. Some of it is hand painted with little purple flowers. I sent several pieces to her sister in Florida and I have my dining room decorated with the rest. She had a black sugar bowl and creamer and she always told me this was black milk glass. Is there such a thing. I've looked everywhere trying to figure out what it is. I know she got it from my grandmother who I never knew because she passed before I was adopted. I'm now 55 and I know my grandpa passed when I was very young and he was almost 99, so I know this does have some age on it. If you know what it is, I would deeply appreciate it.
CommentsThe web site is nice for people really interested in milk glass. I, however, just have a couple pieces and wanted to find out how to get them valued and there was no information on the site about that.
CommentsMy address is : 3708 North Lakewood Avenue Chicago, Illinois 60613 Interested in Hobnail Milk Glass Only. Feel free to send information on fairs and so forth in my area. Thankyou, Bill
CommentsI have some beautiful pale pink milk glass I would like to get some infomation about it. Thank you for any direction you can lead me!
CommentsI have visited to many web sites this morning. My reference to goofus glass was from another site. At this site I have been looking for a Westmoreland Milk Glass Banana Bowl with what I think is a quilt pattern. Each square looks like a pyramid and it sits on a pedestal about 4-5" high. If anyone knows anything about this piece, I would certainly appreciate hearing about it. Thanks
CommentsSo far I am impressed. I haven't finished browsing yet but am finding it quite helpful. I have a piece of "goofus glass" which I didn't even know that is what it was called. I did not find it in the gallery but will keep looking. Thank you for being so thorough.
CommentsWow! I had absolutely no idea of the range of items encompassed by "milk glass". Unfortunately, my small collection which started out simply through garage sales, flea markets, and auctions in Canada pales in comparison. I have a passion for collecting and have several vases from a variety of glass and porcelain companies. Therefore, I naturally started out by collecting white milk glass vases. My first purchase was for my mother and it is a small pedestal candy dish with hearts on the border which I paid $1 Cdn for. I then found a matching one for her and the collection grew into my own. I love your photos and can't wait to buy some reference books to aid me in finding some of the lovely animal dishes and ornate vases! Thank-you so much!
CommentsHave always loved milk glass and have collected some over the year. But want to learn more.
