National Milk Glass Collectors SocietyThis site is designed to provide information about the NMGCS -- its aims and purposes -- and to promote the study, appreciation, and preservation of opaque glass, popularly called "Milk Glass," both old and new, domestic as well as foreign.
The NMGCS is a non-profit, educational organization dedicated to the study and preservation of this unique segment of the glass world. Members of the society receive a quarterly publication, the Opaque News. This newsletter contains informative articles on all aspects of opaque glass, written by members with many years of collecting expertise. Articles include news on reproductions, distinguishing new from old, and information covering individual pieces, as well as the companies manufacturing them. The NMGCS also sponsors an annual convention at which members can buy, sell, trade, and display. The convention features a dinner, speakers, and presentations, the annual business meeting of the Society, and an auction of approximately 300 quality pieces. Members may also purchase a NMGCS Commemorative. The convention is open to members only. Memberships are available at the door.
