First Four Glass Cameo Brooches
Pressed glass cameos from the same mold. They are about
1-¼" x 1-½". The beveled disk vary a little in size. Probably
recently manufactured judging by the setting and some show glue on the back.
Brooches #2, 3, and 4 were all purchased during 2003-2004.
They looked so nice that the prices were higher than the genuine older pins.

Cameo Brooch #1
White milk glass on a black disk. Can be worn as a pin or on a
chain. Purchased about 1999.

Cameo Brooch #2
Brown slag on a white disk. Has fake pearls on a heavy pierced
setting. Can be worn as a pin or on a chain.

Cameo Brooch #3
Black glass on a white disk. Poorly done. Cut out frame to
hold the glass disk.

Cameo Brooch #4
The dealer claimed it was rare "hematite" that was
hand carved. The glass disk is ground to fit into the fake bezel. Black on
black.

Molded milk glass on a black glass disk. Measures 1-1/8"
x 1-1/2". Scalloped brass fits in cut edges.

1-1/2". Prong set in a well made brass frame.

Nicely pressed milk glass cameo measuring 1-1/4" x
1-5/8". Bezel set in a heavy pierced metal frame. |

A very deeply molded milk glass cameo on a black glass
beveled disk 1-1/8" x 1-1/2". It has an older filigree frame
that continues its fancy design across the back. Marked on the reverse
"Made in China". |

1-1/8".Bezel set is surrounded by silver filigree decorated with cut
steel beaded designs. Marked on the back "Made in Czechoslovakia". |

1-1/4". Metal mounting does not look old or fit very well. |

11/16" x 15/16". Brass frame 1-1/8" x 1-1/2" overall. |
Ladies Hatpin
Flame worded milk glass with paint measuring 1-3/4"
long. Called "Thorn" in reference books. Pin stem inserted in
hot glass. Circa 1890-1910. |

Measures 1-1/8". Volcano back so pin stem was glued into top. Circa
